EHS Specialist

Job Title:

Environmental Health and Safety SpecialistJob Description We are seeking a dedicated Environmental Health and Safety Specialist responsible for supporting EHS across various sites in the Florida region. The role requires extensive travel to project and service sites, focusing on environmental health and safety compliance from service orders through commissioning projects. Responsibilities + Provide day-to-day EHS support for service activities and projects. + Support and monitor projects and services operations to ensure completion of EHS plans. + Conduct audits of projects and service teams at customer sites to ensure compliance with policies and procedures. + Provide immediate direct support to field service employees at customer sites. + Utilize discipline knowledge, analytical thinking, problem-solving, and technical experience to execute policy and strategy. + Use internal and external sources to resolve EHS issues. + Interface with other EHS team members for support and guidance. + Obtain clearance to access customer sites. Essential Skills + Expertise in Safety, EHS, OSHA, Health & Safety, Compliance, and Environmental Health. + Experience in conducting safety audits and implementing safety programs. + Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in a related field or a high school diploma with relevant experience and accredited EHS Safety Training Courses. + Minimum 2-3 years of experience supporting EHS initiatives. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience in field-based EHS protocols. + Major in Health & Safety is a desired asset. Work Environment This is a remote role with approximately 90% travel required to various plant locations within the Florida region. The position involves frequent visits to project and service sites to ensure EHS compliance. The candidate will work independently while interfacing with the EHS team for guidance and support. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Pensacola, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $30.00/hr.
