What You Will Do The Environmental, Health and Safety Specialist will acts as a partner in EH&S by formulating and administering EH&S plans and procedures including EH&S Program Management. Primary responsibilities, with oversight, will include: Managing sites RCRA Part B Permit, including data management and reporting, regulatory report preparation, and compliance management. Developing and implementing environmental compliance protocols, such as data reporting requirements/methodology to encourage consistent and compliant behavior for site. Working closely with Legal, consultants and regulatory services to review and interpret EH&S regulations. Collaborating with site professionals to address environmental compliance issues. Conducting training/educational programs to ensure compliance with environmental regulations, focusing on the safe handling, storage, and disposal of materials to prevent pollution and hazards. Managing the sites waste program and related projects, as assigned Performing tasks associated with sites environmental compliance as a member of the Sites EH&S team. Ensure compliance with internal and external waste regulations, including permitting, reporting, and waste management. Support EH&S Compliance Assurance audits by RTX, Pratt & Whitney, or regulatory agencies for assigned programs. Develop and manage compliance strategies to minimize and mistake proof regulatory compliance risks, including onsite visual inspections and audits. Conducting Environment Health and Safety inspections and analyzing audit findings to develop corrective actions and achieve and maintain safe work practices. Investigating environmental events to identify root causes and develop corrective actions. Developing and implementing strategic EH&S initiatives and coordinates/drives the necessary tactical resources/elements to achieve and maintain successful implementation. Maintain accurate records of inspections, permits, reports, and corrective actions. Develop and support corporate, third-party audits, inspections, and regulatory inspections. Monitor regulatory changes and communicate changes to site leadership Travel is up to 10%. Qualifications You Must Have Bachelors Degree in Environmental Sciences, Engineering, or other Sciences 5 years experience in Environmental Management in a manufacturing environment or an Advanced degree in Engineering or Science with 3 years of experience in Environmental Management in a manufacturing environment Regulatory Waste program management Qualifications We Prefer Experiencing leading sustainability initiatives within industrial environment Wastewater/Stormwater program and/or tank management preferred Hands on experience and dynamic problem solver with the ability to craft solutions to everyday challenges with creative new ideas. Written and verbal skills with ability communicate in a straightforward manner.

Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee's personal responsibility. This requisition is eligible for an employee referral award. The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance. This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
