Full Job Description Role Purpose:
Responsible for developing, implementing, and improving health & safety programs to ensure regulatory compliance and promote a safe workplace across utility operations (generation, transmission, waterways, construction, maintenance).
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain H&S policies, procedures, and compliance programs. Conduct inspections and ensure
OSHA/PESH
compliance. Perform hazard assessments and risk evaluations. Investigate incidents and recommend corrective actions. Review regulations and contractor safety plans (HASP) Provide safety guidance to operations and project teams. Deliver training, onboarding, and safety meetings. Develop Safety Talks / Tailgate sessions. Manage PPE programs and equipment. Support emergency preparedness. Travel to field sites as needed.
Core Skills & Knowledge:
Strong knowledge of
OSHA, PESH, NFPA, ANSI, IEEE.
Experience with inspections, audits, and investigations. Risk assessment and hazard mitigation expertise. Understanding of utility and construction safety risks. Ability to interpret regulations and technical documents. Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration.
Pay:
$45.00 - $50.00 per hour
