Pipeline Full Job Description Position Overview:
This position has the responsibility to support our projects in all aspects of safety. The HSE Assistant reports to the Safety Director and works closely with the Training Manager. The HSE Assistant also works closely with our project teams and Field Safety Leaders. Essential Functions - The individual in this role must be able to perform the essential functions of the role, and meet the following occupational demands, with or without a reasonable accommodation: Maintain compliance with customer-specific safety qualification websites / processes; ensure that insurance certificates and other required documentation is current, employee training is assigned and completed, submit required employee qualifications and licensing, etc. Update, review and maintain the company safety reporting ISN data and workflows; review submitted safety observations, near-miss incidents and injuries, and ensure accuracy in weekly and monthly reporting; populate and review the OSHA 300 and 300A logs; enter monthly manhour reports; and prepare and distribute weekly, monthly, Annual reports both internally and for our parent company. Assist Training Dept with tracking and maintaining and other certification records (i.e., MSHA, task specific, aerial lift, respirator qualifications, etc.), OSHA / MSHA regulatory statistics. Help manage worker's compensation claims; work with vendor(s) to process and manage claims, assist employees with the process, coordinate the treatment plan with the claim adjusters and the light-duty return-to-work assignments. Prepare and distribute Lessons Learned and/or similar communications as part of the company incident investigation process, update the Safety Management System as required. Assist in Samsara driver coaching log. Develop Site Specific Safety Plans (SSSPs) for bids and awarded projects, maintain any alteration to Sharepoint for tracking and updating SSSP's for longer projects. Promote and encourage our Safety Opportunity Program. Develop safety programs and plans as required. Other duties as assignedCompanywide Expectations:

None Work Environment:
This position will report to the corporate office in Duluth, MN This work will be performed in an office setting with the potential to visit a job-site if so desired. Office environment with moderate noise levels. Job-site office and field environments may include loud noise, dirt and dust, reduced climate control, exposure to weather, and the need to wear protective clothing and/or PPE. Physical Demands - The individual in this role must be able to meet the following occupational demands: This position will require continuous sitting/standing. Fast-paced environment with variable working hours.Position Type & Expected Hours of Work:
To ensure outstanding service levels, it is necessary that the individual in this role be able to maintain a regular and reliable schedule. This role may work a combination of the hours remotely, on a job site, and in the office. This position normally has a Monday-Friday schedule, but some weekend work may be expected.Travel Requirements:
This role requires very limited travel to job sites or various locations to perform onboarding, training, etc. This may include travel by air.Required or Preferred Education and Experience:
High school diploma or GED required. Have a minimum of 5 years of safety-related experience, preferred in the oil and gas pipeline industry.Benefits and Compensation:
This role will be (eligible for hybrid work flexibility) based out of our Duluth, MN office. The pay range is $24.78 to $37.12 per hour, depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for annual bonus and profit sharing based on company performance in addition to other benefits that support the total well-being of you and your family.Some benefits include:
