Job Description
Job Title:
Safety Professional Job Description This role is responsible for the implementation, administration, interpretation, and enforcement of safety and environmental requirements, including plant, corporate, local, state, and federal regulations. The position involves establishing safety and environmental standards based on risk and hazard analysis to meet regulatory requirements and HSE management systems. Additional responsibilities include reviewing HSE incidents for root cause analysis and establishing corrective and preventative actions, providing technical assistance to various plant staff functions, and coordinating plant safety teams. Responsibilities Ensure compliance routes are completed and updated as needed. Act as a shop floor mentor and interface for HSE topics. Communicate HSE-related information, including training, safety alerts, and production review meetings. Prepare HSE-related training materials and lead training classes. Lead or participate in incident investigations, facilitating root cause analysis and implementing corrective and preventative actions. Participate in and lead plant emergency response teams. Conduct hazard assessments of equipment and jobs to ensure they meet all applicable requirements. Develop and revise HSE-related policies and procedures for the plant and drive implementation. Lead safety audits of key program areas to ensure compliance with regulatory directives. Conduct formal reviews of new equipment, equipment modifications, or process changes. Maintain documentation to meet directives and regulatory requirements. Provide leadership and guidance to plant safety teams. Interact with state and federal agencies and consultants to ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory requirements. Essential Skills High school diploma or GED equivalent. 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing, warehousing, or industrial environment. Valid Driver's License. Strong computer skills, particularly with MS Office. Additional Skills & Qualifications Knowledge of Safety and Environmental Management Systems (ISO14001, ISO45001). Leadership skills. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Greer, SC. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $28.85 - $30.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
