We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced HSE Specialist to support our health, safety, and environmental initiatives while ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations and corporate safety standards. Position Overview The HSE Specialist will support the day-to-day operations of the Health, Safety, and Environmental department, ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and environmental requirements. This role requires experience in workplace safety programs, incident investigations, audits, inspections, training, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Conduct workplace safety inspections and identify potential hazards. Assist with implementing and maintaining OSHA-compliant safety programs and procedures. Support incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions. Maintain compliance with company policies, OSHA regulations, andISO 9001
requirements. Assist with employee safety orientation, training, and safety awareness programs. Maintain organized and confidential HSE documentation and records. Monitor workplace conditions to ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards. Support emergency preparedness activities, drills, and response procedures. Assist with safety audits and provide requested documentation during inspections. Collaborate with operations and management teams regarding workplace safety concerns and improvements. Assist with tracking safety metrics, near misses, and corrective action follow-up. Additional duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or related field preferred. Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Minimum 5 years of HSE or workplace safety experience. Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and workplace safety practices. Experience conducting safety inspections, audits, incident investigations, and employee training. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and safety management systems. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines. High level of integrity and professionalism. Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with ISO 9001 and workplace safety audit requirements. OSHA 30 certification preferred. CPR/First Aid certification is a plus. Skills Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and efficiency. Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving abilities. Team-oriented with a positive and professional attitude. Strong commitment to workplace safety and regulatory compliance. Physical Requirements This position may require a combination of office and manufacturing floor responsibilities, including prolonged sitting, standing, and walking throughout the facility. Must be able to occasionally bend, reach, climb stairs, and lift items up to 25 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation. Manual dexterity is required to operate standard office equipment such as a computer, keyboard, mouse, and telephone. Visual acuity necessary to inspect work areas, equipment, and safety conditions. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with employees at all levels of the organization. Must be able to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) while working in manufacturing or warehouse areas.
