Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Associate EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety) Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will support the development, implementation, and maintenance of comprehensive EHS programs across manufacturing facilities. Your proactive approach will help ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations such as OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration), EPA (Environmental Protection Agency), and workers' compensation laws. You will play a key role in fostering a safe and healthy work environment by conducting inspections, providing training, and assisting in incident investigations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to our safety culture while advancing your expertise in occupational health and environmental management. Duties Assist in developing and implementing safety policies aligned with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory standards to promote a safe workplace environment. Conduct regular safety inspections, hazard assessments, and environmental audits across manufacturing sites to identify risks and recommend corrective actions. Support training & development initiatives by delivering safety programs on topics such as first aid, CPR, OSHA compliance, and ergonomic practices to employees at all levels. Respond promptly to safety incidents or near-misses by performing root cause analysis and preparing detailed report writing to support continuous improvement efforts. Maintain accurate records of safety training sessions, incident reports, inspection logs, and compliance documentation for audits and regulatory reviews. Assist in managing workers' compensation claims processes in accordance with workers' compensation law to ensure timely resolution and proper documentation. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to foster a culture of occupational health awareness while promoting best practices in environmental sustainability. Qualifications Proven knowledge of OSHA standards, EPA regulations, occupational health principles, and workers' compensation law. Experience working within manufacturing environments or industrial settings is highly preferred. Strong understanding of report writing techniques and root cause analysis methodologies for incident investigations. Certifications such as First Aid, CPR, or OSHA 10/30-Hour Training are advantageous. Excellent communication skills with the ability to deliver engaging training sessions and clear written reports. Demonstrated ability to analyze hazards critically and implement effective corrective measures.
