Position Summary The EHS Specialist provides day-to-day support to MSP Operations to ensure safe, compliant, efficient, and reliable operations. This role interacts with and directly influences the behavior, performance and knowledge base of MSP employees and serves in a consulting role enabling facility leaders to address EHS regulatory issues impacting the business. This role is designed for a talented, hands-on individual who is eager to build upon a strong foundation in operational excellence, environmental, health, safety, and transportation compliance. This role partners closely with operations and frontline teams to support safe, compliant, and efficient day-to-day execution across MSP locations. The ideal candidate brings practical operational experience, strong curiosity, learning agility, and comfort using technology to improve the way work gets done. This role is designed for someone excited to bring a modern, tech-enabled approach, including Excel, digital tools, and emerging technologies to support and enhance a safe, discipline, and process driven working environment. Key Responsibilities Drive execution of EHS programs and compliance activities Regularly audit driver qualification, pre-employment, post-accident, random, and reasonable suspicion drug testing, Hours of Service records and driver training. Evaluate and monitor all driver compliance and non-compliance issues, ensuring non-compliance issues are resolved in a timely manner. Lead incident investigations, root-cause analysis, follow-up, and closure of action items. Communicate effectively with all levels of management, and employees. Work with drivers and management to ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local transportation regulations. Review, document and analyze all interactions with regulatory entities to include; crashes, roadside inspection violations and citations. Prepare, analyze, and disseminate detailed reports from the Company's ELD and telematics system. Monitor CSA Basic Scores to address trends and drive performance. Provide operations with CSA basic scores & reports. Oversee and monitor roadside inspection process reports. Coach front line management on roadside inspection issues. Partner with the safety and operations teams to create an annual strategic plan for improvements. Participates in the development and implementation of safety programs for OSHA safety compliance.
