Halcyon Home is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Home Health Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant to support our growing geriatric home health population in San Marcos, TX, and the surrounding area. We offer competitive pay and wonderful team support.

Key Responsibilities:
A minimum of one year of home health experience is preferred, along with a proven ability to manage a fast-paced, independent work schedule. Knowledge of Homecare Homebase software is a plus! A Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant provides coordinated occupational therapy to patients of all age groups under the supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
Administers the occupational therapy treatment plan as developed by the OTR. Assess and facilitate therapeutic interventions for ROM, strength, coordination, adaptive equipment, and functional mobility. Facilitates patients ROM, strength coordination, use of adaptive equipment and environmental modifications functional mobility and safety issues as related to patients ADL performance needs under supervision of the OTR. Applies concepts of infection control and universal precautions in coordinating/performing patient care activities to prevent contamination and transmission of disease. Accepts clinical assignments that are consistent with education and competence to care for patients. Communicate effectively with physicians and healthcare practitioners involved in the patient's care. Participate in the Agency's QAPI program and in-service training. Meet continuing education requirements and demonstrate professional growth and competency. Promote the Agency's philosophy and policies to ensure high-quality care.
Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited school of occupational therapy assistant with an Associate Degree in Occupational Therapy. Current Texas State License to practice occupational therapy. Knowledge or experience utilizing Homecare Homebase EMR would be a plus Minimum of one year experience as Certified Occupational Therapy Asisstant preferred. Minimum of one year of home health care experience Compassionate and empathetic approach to working with the elderly Strong clinical and assessment skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
