EM 385-1-1, OSHA
regulations, and all project-specific safety requirements. This role requires proactive hazard identification, enforcement of safety protocols, and maintaining a safe work environment for all personnel. Key Responsibilities Full-time, on-site safety oversight Implement and enforce the Accident Prevention Plan (APP) and Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs) Conduct daily safety inspections and prepare reports Ensure compliance with
EM 385-1-1, OSHA
standards, and federal contract requirements Stop unsafe work immediately and implement corrective actions Coordinate with USACE and government inspectors regarding safety compliance Maintain accurate documentation of all safety activities and incidents Required Qualifications Minimum 5 years of experience as SSHO on federal or military construction projects
Certifications:
EM 385-1-1
(USACE/NAVFAC 40-hour course) OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety First Aid/CPR/AED Strong knowledge of excavation, fall protection, confined space, and electrical safety Ability to prepare safety documentation and compliance reports Excellent leadership and communication skills Preferred Qualifications Experience with U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) projects Familiarity with bridge work, stream restoration, and masonry repair Benefits Competitive Salary based on experience Health insurance Paid time off
