Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will champion workplace safety, ensure compliance with environmental regulations, and foster a culture of health and safety excellence across our manufacturing facilities. Your expertise will help create a safe, compliant, and sustainable environment where employees can thrive. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a tangible impact on operational safety standards and environmental stewardship. Responsibilities Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive EHS programs aligned with OSHA, EPA, and other relevant regulations to promote workplace safety and environmental responsibility. Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions. Lead incident investigations using root cause analysis techniques to determine underlying issues and prevent future occurrences. Deliver engaging training sessions on occupational health, first aid, CPR, workers' compensation law, and safety procedures to empower employees with vital safety knowledge. Prepare detailed report writing on safety incidents, audit findings, compliance status, and improvement initiatives for management review. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure adherence to OSHA standards and EPA regulations while supporting continuous improvement efforts. Serve as the primary point of contact for workers' compensation law inquiries and coordinate necessary documentation for claims processing. Skills Strong knowledge of OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards and EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) regulations. Proven experience in manufacturing environments with a focus on occupational health and safety practices. Excellent report writing skills with the ability to document incidents, audits, and compliance activities clearly and accurately. Skilled in root cause analysis techniques to identify underlying issues behind safety incidents or environmental concerns. Effective training & development abilities to educate staff on safety protocols, emergency procedures, first aid, CPR, and workers' compensation law. Ability to perform thorough report writing and maintain detailed records of safety activities and compliance status. Strong communication skills to collaborate with teams at all levels while fostering a culture of safety awareness. Pay:
$52,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
