Position Description Modine is looking to hire an Environmental Health & Safety Technician for our plant in Lexington, Virginia. You will work closely with EHS and Plant Leadership to ensure workplace safety & compliance with environmental regulations, conduct investigations/audits and implement safety protocols. Key Responsibilities
Conduct audits in line with established EHS standards and regulations
Identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions
Collect & analyze environmental and safety data for monthly reporting
Assist in the development and implementation of EHS training programs
Conduct new hire orientation
Assist in injury and incident investigations
Maintain records of all EHS related incidents and present statistical analysis to management
Ensure compliance to all applicable governmental regulations and internal EH&S policies.
Conduct tool box sessions regarding safety initiatives
Helf with filing and maintenance of regulatory records such as maintain MSDS sheets, OSHA logs, environmental permits, record/maintain all industrial hygiene and audiometer testing records for the plant.
Promote 5S principles throughout the facility and coordinates for compliance.
Maintain safety required postings.
Perform other duties as assigned
Required Education & Qualifications Associate's degree in occupational safety/ health degree or equivalent combination of training and/or experience. Previous manufacturing safety experience required. Understanding of chemical safety, EH&S regulations, and engineering practices. Why Choose Modine?
