Job Title:
Environmental Health and Safety Specialist - LOTO Job Description As an Environmental Health and Safety Specialist, you will be responsible for conducting periodic and annual audits of Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) procedures to enhance compliance. You will document outcomes and required updates, manage safety devices, and ensure procedural integrity. Your role includes developing and implementing on-the-job training for authorized employees and comprehensive EHS training programs. You will maintain essential documentation, collaborate with colleagues across various disciplines, and integrate safety and health risk management into key business operations. Responsibilities Conduct periodic and annual LOTO audits, document outcomes, and update procedures as necessary. Manage safety devices for LOTO applications, ensuring timely access and procedural integrity. Develop and implement LOTO and EHS training programs for employees. Maintain documentation such as LOTO logs, audit records, and training records. Collaborate with colleagues across multiple disciplines to ensure effective program implementation. Promote the integration of safety and health risk management into business operations. Analyze EHS data to drive improvement initiatives. Promote EHS awareness through effective communication and programming. Provide technical assistance and serve as a key point of contact for safety issues. Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and customer requirements. Support and conduct EHS audits, develop action plans, and implement countermeasures. Escalate issues as needed for leadership support. Assist less experienced EHS team members with guidance. Manage ticket support for stakeholder concerns. Attend stand-up meetings and provide safety guidance for production processes. Stay updated with relevant laws and statutory requirements affecting EHS. Essential Skills Experience in EHS, Health & Safety, Environmental Health, and LOTO. Knowledge of EHS regulations and risk assessment. Bachelor's degree in Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field, or relevant experience. 5+ years of experience as an industrial hygiene professional in aerospace R D or complex manufacturing. Experience with chemical exposure, hearing conservation, laser safety, and hazard communication. Experience working with regulatory authorities and reviewing technical schematics. 3+ years of experience developing and implementing EHS programs. Willingness and capability to travel between sites. Possession ofCSP, ASP, NEBOSH
certifications, or equivalent. Experience as a Laser Safety Officer or Radiation Safety Officer. Proven track record of communicating complex information. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience providing EHS support in laboratory, R D, complex manufacturing, or production environments. Ability to engage the workforce to build a strong safety culture. Excellent at creating and maintaining working relationships across all levels and disciplines. Receptive to feedback and input from others. Work Environment The position is based in Redmond or Kirkland, with a work schedule of Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm. The role involves supporting both locations and requires travel between sites as needed. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Redmond, WA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
