Participe in developing controls to minimize or elimine actual or potential health hazards in collaborion with other specialists across various military facilities. Degree :
Bachelor's or gradue (or higher level) degree in industrial hygiene, occupional health sciences, occupional and environmental health, toxicology, safety sciences, or reled science. The educion must be accredited by an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Educion the time the degree was obtained.
OR Reled Degree :
Bachelor's degree in a branch of engineering, physical science, or life science th included 12 semester hours in chemistry, including organic chemistry, and 18 additional semester hours of courses in any combinion of chemistry, physics, engineering, health physics, environmental health, biostistics, biology, physiology, toxicology, epidemiology, or industrial hygiene. The educion must be accredited by an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Educion the time the degree was obtained. For engineering degrees to be acceptable, the curriculum must be in a school of engineering with least one curriculum accredited by the Accredition Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) as a professional engineering curriculum. Specialized Experience :
One year of specialized experience which includes conducting assessments to identify workplace hazards; performing hazard exposure monitoring or sampling to determine levels of exposures or approprie control measures; providing training or educion to employees or supervisors on subjects reled to occupional exposure; and maintaining health hazards or medical surveillance informion in an informion management system.
