Life:
In the position of Security Manager, you will be responsible for the planning, staffing, and overall command of security, deployment at Company sponsored events, overall security strategy policies, and standards to ensure the physical safety of all visitors, employees and customers.
The Impact You'll Make:
Recommend, implement, and verify compliance with security programs across the security spectrum to include: security guard services, physical security design standards, monitoring systems, and risk assessment and mitigation plans. Identify potential gaps in physical security, continually evaluate current systems, and make recommendations for improvement. Assist in planning Company event security as well as executive protection details as needed. Implement an internal audit system for both emergency preparedness and security programs. Be aware of new regulations, industry best practices, industry trends and technology, products and services in order to assess potential impact on risk management programs. Assist with staff training and operational plans for crisis response, disaster recovery, evacuation, workplace violence, and other emergency events. Select, supervise, coach, develop, and lead the security team to ensure consistent, high-quality service. Interact with employees from all levels of the company in a customer service focused style. Observe activities and incidents and prepare daily logs and reports as required. Controls access to the building by monitoring and maintaining badge access reports. Quickly adjust to new priorities and deliver with minimal supervision. Fill in at campus security desks as needed
Who You Are:
Prefer previous experience in Security, military, or law enforcement
Additional Experience Desired:
More than 5 years of experience in security protocols, law enforcement
Additional Experience Desired:
Between 1-3 years of experience in event security planning training
Computer Skills Desired:
Microsoft Office Preferred Certifications:
CPR or First Aid are a plus Additional Knowledge or Skills to be Successful in this role: Preferred retired Law Enforcement with concealed weapons carry permit allowing firearms in all 50 US States. Ability to remain calm and composed during emergencies or high pressure situations.
