This management-level role will lead the migration of legacy SONET networks to Nokia
SAR/IP-MPLS
systems across utility sites, helping strengthen mission-critical communications for energy and utility operations. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned IT and telecom program leader who thrives in complex, regulated environments where reliability, safety, cybersecurity, and operational continuity are essential. The role offers the chance to work with highly skilled telecom, engineering, cybersecurity, and project teams while driving a high-visibility modernization program that supports essential utility infrastructure. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, practical utility communications experience, and the ability to manage risk, schedules, resources, stakeholders, and compliance requirements with precision. Key Responsibilities Manage the end-to-end SONET-to-Nokia SAR migration program across utility sites. Lead project planning, schedules, resource coordination, execution tracking, and risk mitigation. Coordinate telecom, engineering, operations, cybersecurity, and project teams to ensure successful deployments. Oversee utility communication systems supporting SCADA, teleprotection, substations, and mission-critical network services. Ensure project activities align with
NERC CIP
standards, utility regulations, safety requirements, and cybersecurity expectations. Support validation, readiness, and implementation activities for Nokia SAR and Nokia NSP network solutions. Compensation and Benefits Contract/temporary position.
Compensation:
$75 to $95 per hour.
