Position Overview A prominent UHNW family is seeking an experienced Head of Global Security to oversee all aspects of the family's residential, personal, travel, and operational security worldwide. This is a senior leadership role responsible for developing, implementing, and managing a comprehensive global security program across multiple residences, staff, travel schedules, and family operations. The successful candidate will serve as the family's trusted security advisor while building and leading a world-class security infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong law enforcement leadership background, prior experience supporting a UHNW family, family office, or private principal, and a proven track record of managing security operations across multiple locations. Candidates should possess strong leadership, communication, project management, and operational planning skills, with the ability to build security teams, establish protocols, and oversee third-party security providers in various states and countries. Responsibilities Security Leadership & Strategy Develop and oversee the family's global security strategy across residences, travel, events, and daily operations Conduct ongoing risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies Establish security policies, procedures, and emergency response protocols Serve as the primary security advisor to the principals and family office Executive Protection & Travel Security Oversee executive protection operations for principals and family members Develop travel security plans for domestic and international travel Coordinate advance work, transportation security, accommodations, and logistics Assess and monitor geopolitical, environmental, and security risks that may impact family travel Residential Security Oversee security operations across multiple residences and properties worldwide Evaluate and enhance residential security systems, access control, surveillance, and monitoring programs Coordinate with estate managers, household staff, and vendors to ensure compliance with security protocols Conduct regular site assessments and security audits Team Building & Vendor Management Recruit, build, train, and manage internal security personnel and external security vendors Establish security standards across all locations and jurisdictions Manage relationships with contract security firms, consultants, technology providers, and local authorities Oversee security budgets, contracts, and vendor performance Incident Management & Investigations Lead emergency response planning and crisis management initiatives Manage incident reporting, investigations, and post-incident reviews Coordinate with legal counsel, law enforcement, and other stakeholders when necessary Ensure appropriate documentation, reporting, and compliance measures are maintained Qualifications Former law enforcement leadership experience strongly preferred Minimum 10+ years of progressive security leadership experience Prior experience supporting a UHNW family, family office, private principal, or corporate executive required Experience managing multi-property and international security operations Demonstrated success building and leading security teams across multiple locations Strong understanding of residential security, executive protection, travel security, and risk management Experience managing security vendors, contractors, and third-party providers Strong budgeting, project management, and operational leadership skills Excellent written and verbal communication abilities Experience working directly with principals and family offices preferred Requirements High level of discretion, confidentiality, and professionalism Strategic thinker with a hands-on management style Strong leadership presence and sound decision-making abilities Ability to operate effectively in high-pressure and rapidly changing environments Flexible schedule with extensive domestic and international travel requirements Professional, punctual, and highly reliable Strong communication skills and attention to detail Valid driver's license Valid U.S. work authorization SSIN123
