JOB SUMMARY
The Security Manager is responsible for designing, implementing, and continuously improving a comprehensive security program across all Michigan facilities. This role leads the assessment of current security practices, identifies risks and gaps, and develops prioritized, cost-effective solutions to protect people, property, and operations. The Security Manager serves as the subject matter expert for physical security, policies, training, and incident prevention, while partnering with plant leadership, HR, EHS, IT, and Operations to ensure consistent and effective security standards.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assess current security practices, infrastructure, and procedures across all Michigan facilities. Identify risks, vulnerabilities, and compliance gaps and recommend prioritized corrective actions. Develop and maintain a multi-site security strategy aligned with organizational risk tolerance and operational needs. Create and manage security project plans, including scope, timelines, milestones, and resource requirements. Lead implementation of security enhancements such as access control, surveillance, guard services, visitor management, and emergency response systems. Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery. Prepare annual and project-based security budgets, including capital and operating expenses. Evaluate and select security vendors, contractors, and service providers. Manage vendor performance and contracts to ensure service quality and cost effectiveness. Develop, implement, and maintain all security-related policies, processes, and standard operating procedures. Ensure consistency of security standards across Michigan facilities while allowing for site-specific needs. Partner with HR, Legal, and EHS to ensure policies align with regulatory and company requirements. Design and deliver security training programs for team members, leaders, and security personnel. Conduct regular security training at all Michigan facilities, including onboarding, refresher training, and incident-specific training. Promote a culture of awareness, preparedness, and accountability related to security practices. Support investigations of security incidents, theft, workplace violence, or other security-related events. Analyze incidents and trends to recommend preventive measures and system improvements. Regularly review and update security practices based on evolving risks and lessons learned. Serve as a security advisor to plant leadership and corporate functions. Consult with other U.S., Canada, and international facilities as needed to share best practices and provide guidance. Support enterprise-wide security initiatives and standardization efforts. All other duties as assigned.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience. 5+ years' experience managing physical security programs in a multi-site or manufacturing environment. Strong project management experience, including planning, budgeting, and execution. Experience developing policies, procedures, and training programs. Experience supporting unionized manufacturing facilities is a plus. Security or safety certifications (e.g., CPP, PSP, or similar) preferred.TRAVEL:

Ability to communicate effectively with plant leadership, executives, and frontline team members.
