Job Description

Job SummaryThe Security Manager provides leadership and oversight of hospital security operations to maintain a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, staff, and facilities. This role leads security personnel, ensures compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and partners with internal and external stakeholders to proactively manage risk, incident response, and emergency preparedness.

A Day in the Life of the Security ManagerAs the Security Manager, your day begins with overseeing security operations across the hospital, ensuring appropriate staffing, coverage, and performance. You provide guidance and support to the security supervisor and officers while reinforcing expectations and policies.

Throughout the day, you oversee incident response activities, investigations, and reporting, ensuring followup actions are. You collaborate with leadership, Risk Management, and external partners on safety trends, mitigation strategies, and compliance requirements.

You play a key role in emergency preparednesscoordinating drills, training, and response planningand serve as a leader in workplace violence prevention and campus safety initiatives. You also assist with budget planning, resource allocation, and evaluating security technology and operational enhancements.

In all interactions, you model professionalism, calm decisionmaking, and customerfocused service, helping create a safe, secure, and supportive environment for patients, visitors, and staff.

QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredAssociates or Bachelors degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferredMinimum of 5 years of progressive security experience requiredPrior leadership or supervisory experience in healthcare or complex environments strongly preferredValid drivers license requiredWhy Regional West?
