Job Description

Role Overview:
The Service Entrance Security Doorman is tasked with ensuring the smooth operation of the restaurant's back-of-house activities, including managing staff access, overseeing deliveries, and maintaining overall security. This position is crucial for maintaining a secure and efficient operational flow, contributing to the success of the front-of-house experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Staff Access Control:
Staff Identification:
Ensure only authorized staff members enter the service area by checking employee identification and confirming schedules. Prevent unauthorized personnel from accessing restricted areas.
Monitoring Employee Movements:
Supervise and control the flow of employees entering and leaving the premises, ensuring that all staff adhere to security protocols while entering or exiting.
Supplier and Delivery Management:
Verify Deliveries:
Confirm and supervise all incoming deliveries (food, beverages, supplies) to ensure they are authorized and match the required order documentation. Direct delivery drivers to the appropriate drop-off point.
Escort Deliveries:
Ensure deliveries are transported to the correct locations within the restaurant, such as the kitchen or storage areas, maintaining the security and integrity of the establishment.
Security Monitoring:
Surveillance Systems:
Monitor security cameras and alarm systems to maintain awareness of any unusual activity or potential security threats around the service entrance.
Incident Response:
Respond swiftly to any security incidents, from minor breaches to larger security threats. Coordinate with other security staff and restaurant management to resolve issues.
Safety Protocols:
Be vigilant for safety hazards, from fire risks to equipment malfunctions. Act quickly to address any safety concerns to prevent accidents or disruptions.
General Operations Support:
Logistics Coordination:
Work closely with kitchen staff, managers, and security to ensure smooth logistics, such as managing stock deliveries or ensuring staff adhere to their assigned entry/exit times.
Crowd Control:
In high-volume situations (e.g., during busy times or deliveries), manage the flow of employees and suppliers to maintain order and ensure smooth service operations.
Maintain Cleanliness and Order:
Ensure the service entrance area is kept clean, organized, and free from clutter to maintain the restaurant's operational efficiency.
Safety and Emergency Duties:
Emergency Preparedness:
Remain alert to any emergencies (medical, fire, or security-related), ready to take appropriate action. Be familiar with the restaurant's emergency response plan and act swiftly when needed. Communication with

Report any incidents, concerns, or irregularities to restaurant management immediately, ensuring proper documentation and follow-up.
