Security Specialist (Direct Hire)

As a Security Specialist with NASA's Office of Protective Service, you will be responsible for assisting in the overall management and administration of the Physical Security Program. You will work with a team of highly skilled Security Specialists, interact daily with internal and external stakeholders while assisting with or leading physical security related initiatives as outlined in agency and federal policies.

Qualifications:

Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. To qualify for GS-12, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level: Analyzing, formulating, and making recommendations for the development and implementation of the center physical security plans. Participating with team members that directly engage in physical security program management and policy development for a center. Assisting in the design and oversight of implementing physical security solutions to protect personnel, facilities and equipment.
