Security Officer - FSC

Pay Range:

$25.00 - $30.04 This position provides a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors and staff at assigned locations or areas. Shift Details FSC Hours:

8am - 8pm, 7 days a week Key Essential Functions and Accountabilities of the Job Patrols campus and assigned areas to monitor for conditions or situations which pose a risk to the safety of people or property. Provides routine comprehensive security services, including: Assistance with patient restraint; Intervention in disruptions by patients; Traffic control; Guarding and patrolling physical property; Escorting visitors and employees; Monitoring systems; Orienting and monitoring of personnel working in high-risk areas; Investigation of incidents; Access control; Enforcement of visitor policies; Respond to emergencies; Respirator fit testing; Hazard surveillance surveys; Participation in emergency drills; and Public assistance requests. Education, Certifications, and Licenses Required:

High School Diploma or equivalent Valid Alaska driver's license Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days IAHSS Basic certification within 3 months Experience Required Six months of security-related experience Knowledge of Security policies and procedures Skills in Effective communication Ability to Defuse potential security situations, including aggressive individuals Exercise good judgement in stressful and emergent situations
