JOB SUMMARY
The Security Officer will regularly patrol the Lost Lake Resort property and assist tenants and guests in situations as they occur. The Security Guard is a customer service focused and safety minded position, working to ensure the safety of the people and resources of the Resort. This position is under the direct supervision of the Lost Lake Resort Manager.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
Monitors, patrols and inspects Lost Lake Resort property, vehicles, and utilities to protect against fire, theft, vandalism, terrorism and illegal activity Protect the Tribe's investment and deter criminal and negative activity Use radio and telephone communication to call for assistance from police, fire, or emergency medical services as the situation dictates Write reports and logs outlining their observations and activities during their assigned shift Be prepared to rush to a potentially dangerous scene and calm the guests or control a situation until law enforcement arrives Maintain and monitor property lift stations for proper operation Escort unruly patrons from the property Must be available to work set shifts and cover alternate shifts when necessary Prepare incident reports for each incident that occurs, in a timely manner Other duties may be assigned at the discretion of the Resort Manager or designee to fulfill the Resort's needs, objectives and/or goals
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Ability to perform strenuous tasks often for extended periods of time in and in adverse climatic conditions Ability to lift, push and pull a minimum of 50 lbs. Skill and ability to work overnight Ability to show good judgement, common sense and take action under pressure Ability to be thorough, accurate, and consistent when performing tasks, paying close attention to the smallest aspects of the work Skill in verbal and written communication Ability to use proper spelling and grammar necessary Ability to work independently Ability to maintain confidentiality of Lost Lake Resort and Tribe's business Ability to work extended shifts, most weekends and some holidays Knowledge, skill and ability to represent the Enterprise in a respectful, polite and professional manner at all times.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or GED Current valid driver's license 2 years of customer service experience
