Security Officer - Private housing development

The Santa Lucia Preserve is a private community dedicated to appreciating and respecting the area's natural beauty, geography, history, and cultural setting. The Preserve's 20,000 acres are home to a lively community of just under 300 families and a team of talented staff. Our Gatehouse at 1 Rancho San Carlos Road is just a few minutes from Highway 1 in Carmel. A scenic private road takes you into the heart of The Preserve in just 20 minutes. The Santa Lucia Preserve is hiring two Security Officers to use their excellent customer service skills to provide the maximum safety and security for residents of the Preserve. Position 1

• Work shifts are 10 hour days, with a schedule of Thursday
• Sunday, 1.30 pm
• 12.00 am and one or two on call shifts of 12.01 am
• 6 am. Duties as described below. Position 2
• Work shifts are 8 hour nights Wednesday
• Sunday from 12 am
• 8.

30 am with a home base at the Gatehouse only responding as needed.

Other duties include:

Respond to emergency and nonemergency calls for service and provide assistance. Diligently patrol the Preserve and all assets contained therein. Enforce traffic, fire, and general safety rules when violations are discovered. Provide first aid and conduct assessment until additional resources arrive. Control gate access and notify appropriate departments when vehicles enter the Preserve for reservations, activities, meetings, or residential visits. Greet members, guests, vendors, contractors, and team members at the Main Gate. Execute vehicle tag installation, access pass distribution, and associated records. Conduct visual and physical inspections of residences and Preserve property. Provide assistance to all motorists in need. Interact with all others in a courteous, polite, and professional manner. Perform all tasks assigned by the Director of Security, Assistant Director, or other Preserve manager(s). Maintain and stay proficient with minimum medical accreditation as required. Communicate professionally and effectively over the two way radio system. Deploy and use radar and lidar systems for traffic safety. Comply with and monitor compliance of all Preserve safety and health policies. Write clear and concise reports and citations by the end of shift.

Qualifications include:

High school diploma Current CPR/QED (healthcare provider) card, first responder or above EMS training, Two plus years of experience in security, public safety, military, or other related field(s). Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, Google Drive, and other specialized software. Familiarity with CCTV, DVR, and other recording systems.
