Job Description

Commerce Casino is the world's largest card casino offering more than 200 tables. Established in 1983, the casino values its staff of over 2,500 employees and is proud to be known as "Where the World Comes to Play." PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS 1.
To act as lead Security Officer on his/her assigned shift. 2. Observes overall casino activity and reports back to the Sergeant and Lieutenant. 3. Completes reports of irregularities. 4. Ensures that established policies and procedures pertaining to safety and security are carried out in emergency evacuations. 5. Requires the strength to physically detain or arrest a patron or employee. 6. Investigate accidents, thefts and disturbances. 7. Testifies in court if needed. 8. Provides escort services to employees in confined areas. 9. Unlocks appropriate doors at scheduled times. 10. Provides emergency first aid in appropriate situations including evacuations. 11.
Operates the following equipment:
portable radio, electric cart to casino cage, service weapon, security cart in parking lot and van service. 12. Supervises the rotation of officers to different posts on the property. 13. Performs and/or assigns most of the escort service that occurs within the casino. 14. Supervises subordinates, as directed by the Sergeant or Lieutenant. 15. Relieves timekeeping staff as needed. 16. Performs all other work-related duties as assigned by the supervisors. 17. Perform functions of Training Officer for new Officers. 18. Act as Supervisor in absence of supervision.
