This is a full-time 5-day assignment scheduled Wednesday through Sunday and cannot be separated into individual days or partial schedules. The selected guard will rotate between patrol locations throughout the week and will be responsible for conducting routine patrols of city buildings, parking lots, parks, and other specifically identified locations while operating a Southwest marked patrol vehicle. Additional duties include locking and unlocking gates, documenting incidents and activities through a smartphone-based reporting application, and maintaining a visible and professional security presence throughout the shift. Applicants must be dependable, observant, and capable of working professionally alongside law enforcement personnel, city staff, and fellow security officers.

Schedule Offered Wednesday-Thursday:

Artesia — 6:00 PM to 2:30

AM Friday-Sunday:

Huntington Park — 8:00 PM to 4:30 AM Applicants must be available for the entire Wednesday-Sunday schedule. Requests for Monday through Friday schedules, weekends off, or split schedules will not be considered. Requirements Must be ready to start ASAP Valid California Guard Card Valid Powers to Arrest Certificate Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (no points) Reliable transportation Must be bilingual in Spanish Must be able to operate a smartphone for reporting purposes Must possess a duty belt with required equipment Must possess a valid less-lethal permit and carry pepper spray, TASER, or baton All BSIS permits and certifications must be current and in good standing Must be able to pass a drug screening No visible tattoos No facial or head piercings Must maintain professional grooming standards, including head and facial hair Pay $22.00 - $24.00 per hour DOE (Depending on Experience)
