$18.00-$20.00/hour The Event Security Officers are responsible for ensuring the safety and security of all attendees, staff, and property during an event. This position involves monitoring crowd behavior, checking credentials, managing access points, responding to emergencies, and performing other security-related tasks as needed to maintain a safe environment. Event Security Officers are crucial to the overall success of the event and must work closely with other security personnel, event organizers, and law enforcement if necessary. Responsibilities Monitor and control large crowds to ensure safety and compliance with event guidelines. Direct and manage the flow of people in designated areas. Prevent overcrowding in restricted areas. Ensure orderly conduct of guests, identifying and addressing any disruptive or unruly behavior. Check credentials, tickets, and passes at entry points to ensure only authorized individuals gain access. Screen bags and belongings to detect prohibited items. Assist with any special access needs or entry procedures. Monitor event areas via on-site patrols, and by observing the crowd. Identify and report any suspicious behavior or potential security threats. Ensure all event security measures are followed. Skills Current guard card 1 year of security experience required High School Diploma or GED preferred Ability to use smartphone applications to complete tours Excellent knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocols Surveillance skills and detail orientation Integrity and professionalism Ability to think on your feet in different situations
