AM What You'll Do:
Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing relevant information with site contacts and/or first responders as needed. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify hazards, maintenance concerns, or unusual conditions. Monitor access points and high-traffic areas, assist with visitor directions and/or general assistance, and support hospital protocols related to restricted areas, patient privacy, and after-hours access. Observe and report changes in activity, assist with de-escalation when appropriate, and support staff during routine operations, visitor concerns, and/or emergency situations.
Minimum Requirements:
The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred. Loss prevention experience is preferred. CPR certification is preferred. A guard card and/or license is preferred. Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
