Overview Join our dynamic security team as an Unarmed Security Officer, where your vigilance and dedication will help maintain a safe and secure environment for everyone. In this role, you will be the first line of defense, ensuring safety protocols are followed, monitoring premises through surveillance systems, and providing excellent service to visitors and staff alike. Duties Monitor security cameras and surveillance systems to detect suspicious activity or safety hazards. Conduct regular patrols of the premises to ensure safety, enforce access control, and prevent theft or vandalism. Verify the identity of visitors, contractors, and employees, ensuring proper authorization before granting access. Respond promptly to security incidents or emergencies, including medical situations requiring first aid or CPR if certified. Manage conflict situations with professionalism and calmness, utilizing conflict management techniques to de-escalate issues. Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and security checks for record-keeping and reporting purposes. Collaborate with local law enforcement or emergency responders when necessary to ensure swift resolution of incidents. Qualifications Prior experience in security, law enforcement, military service, or related fields is preferred but not required. Knowledge of surveillance equipment such as CCTV systems and loss prevention strategies is advantageous. Strong observational skills with the ability to identify potential risks quickly and accurately. Excellent communication skills for interacting professionally with staff, visitors, and emergency personnel. Ability to remain alert and attentive during long shifts while maintaining a positive attitude. High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training in security procedures is beneficial.
