Full-Time or Part-Time Position Overview The Off Duty Officer (ODO) is responsible for maintaining a safe, secure, and professional environment for clients, customers, and staff. This role focuses on proactive threat assessment, incident prevention, de-escalation, and customer engagement. Officers may support multiple divisions within the company, including Retail Security, Special Operations, and Field Operations. This position is ideal for experienced armed security professionals and former or active law enforcement personnel seeking a professional security environment with advancement opportunities. Key Responsibilities Provide for the life safety and physical security of assigned clients and properties Maintain a strong security presence while delivering exceptional customer service Monitor for suspicious or unusual activity and respond appropriately to incidents or emergencies Utilize conflict resolution and de-escalation techniques when handling situations Complete detailed incident reports and communicate effectively with management and clients Work independently while maintaining professionalism under pressure Safeguard client property, assets, employees, and visitors Qualifications Retired or currently sworn law enforcement officers with POST Certification are highly preferred, but not required Candidates without law enforcement experience must possess extensive armed security experience Minimum of 2 years of experience in armed security, military, law enforcement, or related public safety roles Valid State Armed Security License and any required permits or certifications Strong communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills Ability to stand and remain alert for extended periods (8+ hours) Must be dependable, professional, and capable of working in high-pressure situations Compensation & Benefits $40.00 - $45.00 per hour (depending on experience) Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance 401(k) with company matching Paid Time Off and Sick/Safe Leave Opportunities for advancement and specialized assignments Professional and team-oriented work environment About Green Knight Security Green Knight Security, Inc. provides premium armed and unarmed security services throughout California with a focus on professionalism, accountability, and client satisfaction.
