REQUIREMENTS
Must be eligible to perform all aspects of the statement of work and meet the education, experience, health, citizenship, special requirements, and security prerequisites, United States Citizenship requirement is a prerequisite for obtaining a security clearance
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
As a minimum, you must shall possess a high school diploma or GED certificate, and meet the following qualifications: a. The ability to greet and deal tactfully with the public. b. Possess a clear capability of understanding and applying written and verbal orders, rules, and regulations. c. Be literate to the extent of being able to read and interpret printed rules and regulations, detailed orders, training instructions and materials, and must be able to compose reports which contain the informational value required by such directives. d. Possess good judgment, courage, alertness, and event temperament, and render satisfactory performance by conscientiously acquiring a good working knowledge of the position responsibilities. e.

The ability to maintain poise and self-control during crises. Be able to withstand the accompanying excitement of fires, explosions, civil disturbances, and building evacuations. f. Established proficiency through actual qualification in the use and safe handling of the weapon, which he is assigned prior to entering on duty. g. Any type of military service other than that resulting in dishonorable discharge may be credited toward meeting the requirements in (a), through (d) above. h. Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
HEALTH REQUIREMENTS
Must be in good health without physical defect or abnormalities, which would interfere with performing protection duties. a. Employees must be free from any serious physical illness, ailments or maladies, including epilepsy, or other diseases that may be transmitted to and result in the disablement of other people. b. Must have binocular eyesight and be able to distinguish primary colors. Must be able to read at least 20/60 in each eye without the use of corrective lenses or must be able to read at least 20/20 in each eye with corrective lenses. c. Must be able to hear adequately. Adequate hearing is hearing within the normal speech range not to exceed a loss of 30 decibels in both ears and 35 decibels in the poorer ear without the use of hearing aids. d. No candidate can be accepted who has heart, lung, skeletal, or other physical defects which would impair his ability to perform effectively in either normal or emergency situations. e. Must possess unimpaired use of hands, arms, legs, and feet and must be able to run when necessary, and must be capable of handling portable fire extinguishers, building fire hoses, and related equipment. f. Must be able to wear all necessary personal equipment, which may include weapons, belts, holsters, gasmasks, or other protective items for civil disorders or rescue work. g. Must be mentally alert and emotionally stable; absence of detectable neurotic or psycho-neurotic conditions which would adversely affect their ability to handle weapons or to act properly during situations involving mental stress is required.
SUITABILITY REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to successfully hold a DISCO Secret Clearance based on the favorable security adjudication of a background investigation. Must comply with the letter and intent of FAR clause 52.223-6, July 1990 regarding a "Drug Free Workplace" .
