About the Position Treston Security Services is seeking professional and dependable Unarmed Security Officers for a special event assignment in the Milpitas/San Jose area. Officers assigned to this event will primarily be responsible for access control and property watch duties, ensuring that only authorized personnel enter designated areas while maintaining the security of event assets, equipment, and property throughout the assignment. This position requires strong attention to detail, professionalism, and the ability to remain alert during extended shifts. Officers should be comfortable interacting with vendors, event staff, contractors, and authorized guests while enforcing site rules and security procedures. Key Responsibilities Control access points and verify authorized entry into designated areas Monitor event property, equipment, and restricted locations Maintain a visible security presence to deter theft, trespassing, and unauthorized activity Observe and report suspicious activity, safety concerns, or policy violations Assist event staff, vendors, and authorized personnel with site access procedures Conduct periodic patrols of assigned areas as directed Maintain accurate activity logs and incident reports Communicate effectively with supervisors, event staff, and fellow officers Respond appropriately to security incidents and emergency situations Follow all client directives and site-specific security procedures Minimum Qualifications Valid California BSIS Guard Card (Required) Must be at least 18 years of age Authorized to work in the United States Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to remain alert and attentive throughout the shift Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Reliable transportation and dependable attendance Ability to work assigned event dates and schedules Preferred Qualifications Previous access control experience Prior property watch or asset protection experience Event security experience Experience working special events, festivals, conventions, or public gatherings Customer service, hospitality, or public-facing security experience Strong observation and report-writing skills Uniform Requirements Company-issued security polo Black tactical or duty-style pants Black belt Black boots or black polishable shoes Professional appearance and grooming standards required About Treston Security Services Treston Security Services is a Veteran-Owned and Operated security company providing professional protection services throughout California and beyond.
