Position:

The Security Officer acts as a "guardian" for the clients and communities we protect through a variety of responsibilities including conducting patrols, reviewing security cameras, actively monitoring the premises and involving law enforcement when needed. This position helps to preserve regulations and directives for their assigned site as it relates to employees, the client and visitors. Essential Position Responsibilities

• Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors and other persons to guard against theft and maintain the security of premises.
• Patrol industrial or commercial premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure the security of doors, windows and gates.
• Operate detecting devices to screen individuals and prevent the passage of prohibited articles into restricted areas.
• Write reports of daily activities and irregularities such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
• Call police or fire departments in cases of emergency, such as fire or presence of unauthorized persons.
• Warn persons of rule infractions or violations and apprehend or evict violators from premises.
• Answer alarms and investigate disturbances.
• Assist employees and visitors with any concerns.
• Inspect and adjust security systems, equipment, or machinery to ensure operational use and to detect evidence of tampering.
• Other responsibilities as assigned. Compensation and Benefits The compensation range for armed Security Officers is $25.00
• $30.00 per hour. Our Security Officers are also eligible for the following benefits:

REQUIRED

• BSIS Issued California Guard Card
• 40 HR Course (with Certificates).

REQUIRED

• Pepper Spray Certificate.

REQUIRED

• VALID California Drivers License with no moving violations.

• 21 years of age with 3 years of driving experience.

REQUIRED

• BSIS Issued Exposed Firearm Permit required for armed positions.

REQUIRED

• Weekend Morning and Afternoon availability
• Willingness to learn and be coachable.
• Ability to evaluate/deescalate conflicts and remain calm.
• Ability to write accurate and detailed reports
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills and the ability to communicate with various personalities.
• Passionate about providing excellent service.
• At least 1-3 years of security industry experience (preferred).
