Security Supervisors Position Overview We are seeking a reliable and professional Security/Maintenance Associate to join our team at our Senior Citizen Living Community. This unique semi-floating position combines both security and maintenance responsibilities to ensure the safety, comfort, and well-being of residents, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate will be flexible, attentive, and ready to step into either department as needed, including covering shifts in the security department for vacations, call-offs, or special community events.
Key Responsibilities Security Duties:
Patrol the community on foot and by golf cart to ensure safety and security.
Man the front desk:
answer calls, monitor visitors, and provide information to residents, guests, and prospective residents. Escort staff, residents, and visitors as needed. Lock/unlock doors and secure the premises. Respond promptly to emergencies throughout the community. Enforce community policies and maintain a safe environment.
Maintenance Duties:
Deliver packages and assist residents with minor needs. Empty trash cans and perform light custodial tasks. Respond to resident and staff requests in a timely manner.
General Duties:
Provide excellent customer service to residents, visitors, and staff. Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members. Maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times. Adapt to schedule changes as needed to cover shifts in the security department.
Qualifications Required:
Valid California Guard Card.
Preferred:
OC (Oleoresin Capsicum) certification and Taser certification. Prior experience in security, maintenance, or a related role preferred. Strong communication and customer service skills. Ability to remain calm and professional in emergency situations. Must be dependable, flexible, and team-oriented. Ability to work on foot and operate a golf cart for extended periods.
Work Schedule Saturday, Sunday and Every Other Monday:
4:00 PM - 12:00 AM. Additional shifts may be required to cover security staff absences, vacations, or community events. Compensation & Benefits Competitive hourly pay (based on experience and certifications). Benefits package available (if applicable). Pay:
$19.00 - $21.00 per hour
