July 2019 SUMMARY Overnight Security guard is responsible for providing a safe and secure environment in which guests can relax and/or conduct business. This position establishes, promotes and maintains the Hotel's security and property protection. The security guard is available from 5pm to 6:30am five days a week. The security guard actively participates in the day-to-day security operations of the property to ensure the safety and security of all guests, employees and property.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Executes all tasks assigned by MOD. Attends all scheduled training sessions including safety meetings. Display warmth, care and genuine enthusiasm when dealing with guests, employees, lives the Resort culture Adheres to the Resort's code of conduct and grooming & hygiene standards. Actively participates line ups and meetings. Frequent patrolling of public areas, car parking and heart of house areas to prevent intrusion by unauthorized people or undesirables. Understand the operation of all emergency life safety equipment and respond to all emergency situations including accidents that may arise at the resort. Monitor security cameras and conduct daily physical hazard inspections. Defuse guest disturbances and escort individuals from the property if necessary. Conduct investigations, gather evidence, and facilitate interviews with relevant parties. Complete required shift reports and maintain confidentiality of all loss prevention documents. Participate in and support hotel efforts towards community, sustainability and environmental initiatives. Perform other duties as directed, developed or assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Customer service experience Strong communication skills Guard card, CPR/First Aid, TIPS training, Valid US driver's license with clean record Ability to use Microsoft Suite and keyboard. Desirable High school degree or higher education Previous Security experience in a luxury resort environment Law enforcement experience SKILLS Required Basic computer skills English Language Skills Desirable A history of thriving in stressful situations A team-first attitude Exercise good judgment and maintain a professional demeanor

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Frequent or occasional need to perform the following physical activities: reaching, bending, pushing, pulling, twisting, lifting, and climbing. Have frequent need to perform standing and walking activities related to inspecting property. Constant need to perform the following physical activities: grasping, turning, finger dexterity. Occasional need to stand for long periods of time. Lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs. frequently and 75 lbs. occasionally.

Vision requirements:

constant need to view small print. Frequent need to see small details and things clearly beyond arms' reach.

Hearing requirements:

constant need to speak on telephone and/or two-way radio, respond to general public and converse with staff. Ability to hear fire alarms and emergency equipment.
