Unarmed Security Guard •Two shift openings: Shift 1: Friday and Saturday from 2000 - 0330 hours Shift 2: Saturday from 1900 - 0300 hours •Job Overview Join our dynamic security team as an Unarmed Security Guard, where your vigilance, professionalism, and commitment to safety play a vital role in protecting people, property, and assets. As a visible security presence, you will help maintain a safe and secure environment through patrols, surveillance monitoring, access control, customer service, and incident response. Key Responsibilities Access Control Verify visitor identification. Screening individuals for prohibited items using a handheld metal detector Control facility access and deter unauthorized entry. Patrol and Monitoring Conduct regular foot patrols of assigned properties, buildings, parking areas, and surrounding grounds. Identify and report security breaches, safety hazards, suspicious activity, and property damage. Maintain a visible security presence to deter criminal activity and policy violations. Surveillance Observe and assess facility activity to identify potential threats or security concerns. Respond appropriately to alarms and unusual activity. Incident Response Investigate disturbances, suspicious activity, accidents, and policy violations. Respond promptly and professionally to emergencies and security incidents. Contact and coordinate with law enforcement, fire departments, emergency medical personnel, and management when necessary. Utilize conflict resolution and de-escalation techniques to manage confrontations safely and effectively. Reporting and Documentation Complete Daily Activity Reports (DARs) and incident reports accurately and thoroughly. Maintain detailed records of patrols, observations, incidents, and security-related activities. Document security irregularities and provide timely reporting to supervisors. Customer Service Provide assistance, directions, and information to employees and guests. Maintain a professional, courteous, and service-oriented approach at all times. Help create a welcoming, safe, and orderly environment. Qualifications and Skills Valid BSIS Security Guard License (Guard Card) or willingness to obtain one. Previous experience in security, law enforcement, military service, customer service, or a related field is preferred but not required. CPR and First Aid certification preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong report-writing and documentation abilities. Demonstrated ability to de-escalate tense situations and manage conflicts professionally. Strong observational skills and attention to detail. Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure. Knowledge of surveillance systems, access control procedures, and security operations. Reliable, dependable, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision. Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call assignments as needed. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, sit, and patrol for extended periods. Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to respond quickly to emergencies and security incidents. Sufficient physical stamina to perform patrol duties and maintain an active security presence throughout assigned shifts. Why Join Us?
