Monterey County, Santa Cruz County, San Benito County, San Luis Obispo County, Santa Barbara County Position Summary Benitez Security Services is seeking experienced Armed On-Call Security Officers to provide professional armed security services at client locations requiring an elevated level of protection. Essential Duties & Responsibilities (All non-armed duties apply, plus:) Provide armed security presence at assigned sites Safely carry and maintain assigned firearm Follow all BSIS firearm regulations and company policies Respond to high-risk incidents appropriately De-escalate confrontations professionally Complete detailed incident and use-of-force reports Maintain professional appearance and conduct at all times Minimum Qualifications Valid California Guard Card (BSIS) Valid BSIS Exposed Firearm Permit Current Firearm Qualification 8-Hour Powers to Arrest Certificate Completion of 32 hours BSIS required training OC Pepper Spray Certification Baton Permit Valid California Driver's License Minimum 1-2 years of security experience preferred Compliance Requirements Must maintain all certifications while employed Failure to maintain certifications may result in removal from assignments Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed Physical Demands Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (8+ hours) Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds Ability to respond quickly in emergency situations Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions Maintain constant alertness and situational awareness Compensation $25.50 per hour On-call flexibility and opportunity progression for permanent armed assignments Benitez Security Services, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer and considers all applicants without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, or any other protected status.
