Summary of Position Responsible for safeguarding hotel property, assets, guests, visitors, and associates. Oversees and trains staff on established safety, security, and emergency procedures while ensuring compliance with company standards. This role focuses on maintaining a safe and secure environment that supports both guest and employee satisfaction while protecting the property and its operations. The pay rate for this position is $26.50 per hour. Work Hours Must be available to work flexible scheduled shifts based on business needs. Scheduling may include holidays, evenings, nights, and weekends depending on hotel events, functions, and operational demands. Job Requirements Understand and support the mission, vision, and goals of the hotel. Demonstrate strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications. Exhibit strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively lead in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Establish departmental goals and objectives that align with operational priorities. Maintain strong organizational skills, remain detail-oriented, and complete all assigned work in a timely manner. Work collaboratively with co-workers and all departments to foster a team-oriented environment Build morale and promote positive associate engagement throughout the team. Must have the ability to push, pull, bend, squat, and lift up to 50lbs regularly. Follow all company policies and procedures while continuously striving to improve operational standards and efficiency. Ability to read, comprehend, and prepare instructions, correspondence, reports, and memos. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and electronically, with guests, management, co-workers, members, and marina tenants. Ability to effectively present information to associates, management, guests, members, marina tenants, and the public in both one-on-one and group settings. Ability to identify problems, collect and analyze data, establish facts, and draw sound conclusions. Demonstrate a strong understanding of guest service standards and guest needs. Essential Job Duties Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Security Department. Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and safety standards. Maintain proper key control procedures in accordance with loss prevention guidelines and property standards. Conduct routine patrols of all interior and exterior areas of the property, including inspection tours of surveillance and recording systems. Follow Duty of Care procedures to ensure the safety and protection of guests and associates. Follow up on unusual activities or incidents that may impact the safety and well-being of guests, associates, or property assets. Handle complaints, resolve conflicts, and address grievances in a professional and timely manner. Oversee loss prevention operations, including patrol procedures, emergency response, investigations, shipping and receiving processes, electronic key systems, and Manager on Duty responsibilities, while identifying opportunities for improvement. Support the initiatives and objectives of the Safety Committee. Ensure compliance with first aid programs and emergency response procedures for guests and associates. Administer and manage the claims process for guest and associate injuries or incidents. Communicate and reinforce the importance of safety procedures and protocols, ensuring associates understand and follow all safety standards. Emphasizes teamwork, close working relationships with other departments and assertive hospitality to serve as a deterrent to crime. Provide assistance, medical attention, emotional support, or other care to guests, associates, and visitors when needed. Monitor service quality and operational standards to ensure guest expectations are consistently met or exceeded. Maintain knowledge of job-related systems, processes, products, and operational procedures. Select talented, qualified, and service oriented individuals to embody the core values of the Resorts culture. Supervise, coach, and manage associates in support of daily departmental operations. Schedule associates for operations and manage payroll and productivity. Review staffing levels to ensure guest service standards, operational needs, and financial objectives are achieved. Train and develop associates on 4 Keys service standards, technical skills, standard operation procedures, and safety standards. Ensure associates consistently deliver exceptional guest service and exceed established service standards. Encourage associate feedback through an open-door policy and address concerns to promote engagement and satisfaction. Communicate relevant information to executives, peers, and associates in a timely and professional manner. Recognize and celebrate team successes while acknowledging individual and team contributions. Foster open communication, mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among all associates.
