Security Guard - The Shout! House Job Overview The Shout! House is seeking a professional and attentive Security Guard to join our team. As part of our high-energy dueling piano bar, you'll play a key role in ensuring the safety and enjoyment of our guests and staff. The ideal candidate thrives in fast paced nightlife environments, demonstrates excellent judgment under pressure, and upholds our commitment to creating a fun, safe, and welcoming atmosphere for all in a professional manner. Responsibilities Maintain a visible presence throughout the venue to ensure guest safety and protect property. Monitor guest behavior to identify signs of over-intoxication, disturbances, or potential safety concerns. Respond quickly and appropriately to incidents, emergencies, and guest inquiries. Enforce venue policies and alcohol regulations with professionalism. Utilize conflict resolution and de-escalation techniques to manage challenging situations. Collaborate with management, bartenders, and other team members to maintain a consistent awareness of guest activity and venue flow. Create welcoming and hospitable guest interactions. Remove rubbish from the building at the end of the night. Qualifications & Requirements Prior experience in nightlife, entertainment, security, or law enforcement preferred. Must possess a valid California Guard Card . Must obtain California Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certification within 30 days of hire. Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to interact positively with both guests and staff. Excellent situational awareness and ability to stay calm under pressure. Team-oriented attitude with a professional and approachable demeanor. Willingness to undergo background checks and drug screenings. Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
