Job Overview Principal Watch, A Private Patrol Co., is currently seeking experienced, dependable, and professional On-Call Security Officers to join our team. This is an on-call, as-needed position designed for experienced security professionals who are looking to earn additional income. Hours are not guaranteed, and assignments will be offered based on operational needs, call-offs, special coverage requests, and available shifts. This position is ideal for officers who already have security experience and are comfortable accepting occasional last-minute assignments. Since officers may be assigned to different locations with limited notice, we are looking for individuals who can learn quickly, follow post orders, and work independently with minimal supervision.

19.50-20.00 / hourly Schedule Schedule varies based on operational needs. Day, swing, overnight, weekend, and holiday shifts may be available. This is not a full-time or guaranteed-hours position. This position is intended for officers seeking supplemental income and flexible on-call opportunities. If selected, you will be asked to provide your general availability. When shifts become available due to call-offs, special coverage requests, or operational needs, we may contact you based on the availability you provided. Availability does not guarantee hours. Assignments are offered on an as-needed basis. Key Responsibilities Conduct high-visibility vehicle and foot patrols throughout assigned properties. Monitor residential communities, parking areas, pools, clubhouses, laundry rooms, common areas, and other assigned locations. Observe and report suspicious activity, trespassing, vandalism, unauthorized access, disturbances, and safety concerns. Enforce property rules and regulations in a professional, respectful, and consistent manner. Perform parking enforcement duties as directed by property management and company procedures. Provide pool monitor coverage when assigned, including monitoring access, rule compliance, and overall safety concerns. Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and emergencies while following proper company protocols. Document security activity, incidents, maintenance issues, and property concerns using company reporting software. Communicate professionally with residents, guests, property management, supervisors, dispatch, and law enforcement when needed. Follow all company post orders, client instructions, and operational procedures. Maintain a professional appearance and provide a visible security presence while on duty. Qualifications Valid BSIS Guard Card required. Minimum of 5 years of security experience required. Completion of the full 40 hours of BSIS training required; certificates must be provided upon request. Valid California driver's license required. Clean driving record required. Selected candidates will be required to provide a DMV driving record as part of the hiring process. Legally authorized to work in the United States. Previous mobile patrol or vehicle patrol experience required. Experience working at residential communities, apartment communities, HOA properties, parking enforcement posts, pool monitor assignments, or similar accounts preferred. Experience using security reporting software such as GuardsPro, TrackTik, Silvertrac, TrackForce, or similar platforms strongly preferred. Comfortable using smartphones, security apps, QR checkpoint systems, GPS tracking, photo documentation, and digital reporting tools. Strong written and verbal communication skills required. Must be comfortable enforcing rules and regulations in a professional manner. Ability to learn new sites, post orders, and procedures quickly. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Reliable transportation required. Must demonstrate professionalism, reliability, good judgment, and strong work habits. Must pass a background check and drug screening. Physical & Technology Requirements Ability to stand, walk, and drive for extended periods. Ability to safely operate a patrol vehicle, if assigned. Ability to enter and exit a patrol vehicle multiple times during a shift. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Ability to patrol residential communities, parking areas, pool areas, clubhouses, and common areas. Ability to use a smartphone to scan QR checkpoints, take photos, complete reports, and communicate with supervisors. Comfortable using company security software for reporting, documentation, and checkpoint scanning. Uniform Requirements Uniforms are provided by the company. Officers must report to duty in full uniform. Officers must maintain a clean, professional appearance throughout the shift. Officers are expected to follow all company grooming and uniform standards.
