This leadership-focused position is responsible for coordinating event staffing, supporting field personnel, overseeing operational readiness, and helping ensure successful event execution across a variety of venues and special events. This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys managing people, solving operational challenges, and helping teams perform at a high level in fast-paced environments.

Valid Driver's License Position Summary The Event Operations Supervisor works closely with leadership, event personnel, and client representatives to coordinate staffing, oversee event preparation, and support field operations. This role helps ensure events are staffed appropriately, operational plans are followed, and team members are equipped to perform their duties safely and effectively. Assignments may include concerts, festivals, sporting events, community gatherings, private functions, and other special events throughout the region. Key Responsibilities Event Planning & Operational Coordination Review and approve staffing plans for upcoming events Coordinate personnel assignments based on venue requirements and operational needs Assist with event scheduling and workforce allocation Ensure operational plans are implemented effectively during event execution Monitor staffing levels and address coverage needs as situations change Support event readiness by confirming equipment, communication tools, and personnel availability Procedures & Operational Readiness Assist with the development and maintenance of event-specific Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) Support preparation of Emergency Action Plans for large-scale events Verify that supervisors and officers understand site expectations and operational requirements Help maintain consistency across event operations and field practices Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and service delivery Leadership & Team Development Participate in recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding event personnel Provide day-to-day guidance and supervision for event staff Assist with performance evaluations and coaching initiatives Mentor Event Site Officers and help identify future leadership candidates Promote accountability, professionalism, and teamwork among field personnel Reinforce company policies, procedures, and performance expectations Employee Relations & Performance Management Monitor employee performance during event assignments Address attendance, conduct, or performance concerns appropriately Assist with documentation related to corrective action when necessary Support retention efforts through communication, training, and leadership engagement Ensure supervisors are properly prepared to manage assigned personnel Communication & Event Support Serve as a point of contact between field staff and operations leadership Maintain professional communication with clients, venue personnel, and event organizers Provide operational updates and staffing information as needed Assist with resolving event-related issues in a timely and professional manner Documentation & Reporting Maintain staffing records and operational documentation Complete reports related to event activity, staffing performance, and operational outcomes Document concerns, recommendations, and follow-up actions when necessary Ensure records are maintained in accordance with company standards Required Qualifications Must be at least 18 years of age Valid Driver's License with acceptable driving history Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment Professional demeanor and strong decision-making abilities Reliable attendance and schedule flexibility Ability to travel to various event locations as needed Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in event operations, event security, hospitality management, or team leadership Experience scheduling personnel or coordinating staffing assignments Background supervising employees in customer-facing environments Experience creating procedures, operational plans, or workforce schedules Familiarity with large public events, venues, or crowd-management operations Core Competencies Leadership and team development Workforce planning and scheduling Event operations coordination Problem-solving and decision-making Conflict resolution Communication and relationship management Time management and organization Operational planning and execution Attention to detail Customer service and professionalism Work Environment Event-based assignments with varying schedules Combination of office, venue, and field-based responsibilities Indoor and outdoor event locations Frequent interaction with staff, clients, vendors, and event attendees May require standing, walking, and travel between event sites Evening, weekend, and holiday availability may be required based on event schedules What We Offer Competitive hourly compensation Flexible part-time scheduling Leadership experience within a growing event operations division Exposure to a variety of venues and event types Ongoing training and professional development Opportunities for advancement within Citadel Security USA Equal Opportunity Employer Citadel Security USA is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
