Denver, CO Job Details Full-time $20 - $25 an hour 15 hours ago Qualifications Microsoft Excel Guest relations Customer service Microsoft Publisher High school diploma or GED Task prioritization Grammar Experience Full Job Description Under general supervision, this position provides a visual security presence to ensure that visitors have a safe and pleasant experience while visiting the building.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Ensure the safety of guests, employees and company assets through constant patrol and observation of all assigned areas and reporting activities in accordance with departmental standard operating procedures Promote positive and courteous public relations to all tenants, visitors and guests Monitors and maintains control of facility access points and permitted areas of entry and responds to sounding alarms ensuring the safety of employees, guest and company assets; monitor visitor activities Gain and maintain proficiency with life safety system and central security panel of buildings Prepares reports based upon observations, information and occurrences to ensure compliance with departmental standard operating procedures Communicate with supervisor or manager on safety issues Tour properties and monitor building operations Maintain daily logs and shift reports Adhere to Security Policies and Procedures manual All other duties as assigned
Experience, Knowledge and Education Required:
Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher) Thorough knowledge of all emergency equipment, including but not limited to fire alarm systems, fire pumps, access systems, water risers, cutoff valves and electrical circuits Advanced customer service skills to diplomatically communicate with customers Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work efficiently; excellent attention to detail Ability to listen, communicate (written and verbal), excellent grammar, spelling and proof reading skills and follow-up effectively with all staffing levels and clients/customers Ability to demonstrate good common sense and sound judgment Ability to anticipate work needs and follow through with minimum direction High school diploma or GED equivalent required 2+ years of related experience Prior experience in law enforcement, military and/or security preferred Non-Commission license preferred, or ability to obtain a valid, Non-Commissioned Security License through the Texas DPS Private Security Board Requires acceptance of any assigned shift including weekends Requires flexibility to accept assignments at any of our properties in the greater metropolitan area of the city / county in which you are hired Requires you provide your own transportation to / from any job site assignment. Requires flexibility to work overtime with same day notice, not to exceed 16 hours in a day Requires following established procedures for calling in absent and/or requesting time off
