Monday to Friday | Coverage for open shifts, employee absences, and vacation relief assignments Position Summary Citadel Security USA is seeking a flexible and professional Armed Security Officer to support security operations at a government-related facility in Eagle, Colorado. This position provides supplemental staffing coverage and is intended for individuals who can adapt to changing schedules and operational needs. The successful candidate will contribute to a secure and orderly environment by monitoring facility access, maintaining awareness of daily activity, and interacting professionally with visitors, staff members, contractors, and public officials. Because this role fills staffing gaps and special coverage needs, schedule flexibility and reliability are essential. Key Responsibilities Facility Protection & Access Monitoring Maintain a professional armed security presence throughout assigned areas Observe public entrances, controlled-access locations, and interior common spaces Verify identification credentials and confirm authorization before granting access Help ensure compliance with established building security procedures Monitor visitor activity and direct individuals to appropriate locations when necessary Security Operations Conduct routine security observations throughout designated sections of the facility Identify and report unusual activity, policy violations, or potential security concerns Assist with maintaining a safe atmosphere for employees and visitors Respond to incidents according to site directives and company procedures Remain attentive to changing conditions within high-traffic public areas Documentation & Communication Prepare detailed activity logs and incident documentation Record operational concerns, observations, and security-related events accurately Maintain regular communication with supervisors and designated site representatives Report emergencies, hazards, or operational issues promptly Professional Public Interaction Provide courteous assistance to visitors and guests Communicate respectfully with court personnel, government employees, vendors, and members of the public Demonstrate professionalism during all interactions and assignments Support a welcoming and secure environment while enforcing site rules consistently Required Qualifications Must meet all applicable Colorado requirements for armed security personnel Personal firearm required and must be carried in accordance with state law and company policy Strong observation, judgment, and decision-making skills Excellent verbal and written communication abilities Dependable attendance and professional demeanor Ability to accept short-notice assignments and schedule adjustments when needed Preferred Experience Previous experience in government, municipal, courthouse, or public-sector security Background in armed security, military service, corrections, law enforcement, or related fields Familiarity with controlled-access environments and visitor screening procedures Experience completing incident reports and operational documentation Work Environment Professional government or courthouse setting Primarily indoor assignment with regular public interaction Extended periods of standing, monitoring entrances, and observing facility activity Fast-paced situations may occasionally require calm decision-making and professional conflict management Assignments may vary based on staffing requirements and operational needs Why Join Citadel Security USA?
