3:00 PM - 11:00 PM Position Overview Citadel Security USA is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Unarmed Security Officer to support security operations at a residential apartment community in Lakewood. This position serves as a key point of contact for the property and focuses heavily on surveillance monitoring, communication, and incident awareness. The selected officer will be responsible for observing live camera feeds, reviewing recorded footage when necessary, and helping identify security concerns before they escalate. This role requires strong communication skills, sound judgment, and a commitment to maintaining a safe living environment for residents and property staff. Because this position plays an important role in daily site operations, officers are expected to arrive at least 10 minutes before the start of each scheduled shift. Key Responsibilities Surveillance & Security Monitoring Monitor multiple CCTV camera systems throughout the shift Review recorded video footage when requested or when investigating incidents Observe resident common areas, parking lots, entrances, and other designated locations Identify suspicious activity, policy violations, safety concerns, or unauthorized access attempts Maintain continuous awareness of property conditions through surveillance technology Communication & Site Coordination Serve as the primary security contact for the property during assigned hours Communicate security concerns, emergencies, and operational updates to dispatch and management Utilize radios, telephones, and other communication tools professionally and effectively Coordinate with property personnel regarding security-related matters when necessary Property Security Support Assist with monitoring resident and visitor activity within designated areas Maintain a visible and professional presence when conducting site observations Support access control procedures and restricted area monitoring as required Help promote a safe and orderly residential environment Documentation & Reporting Complete daily activity reports and incident documentation accurately Record observations, communications, and security-related events in a timely manner Maintain detailed and organized records of site activity Follow company reporting standards and client-specific procedures Qualifications Required Qualifications Must be at least 18 years of age Reliable personal vehicle for transportation to and from the property Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to monitor multiple cameras feeding while maintaining attention to detail Strong organizational and observation skills Dependable attendance and punctuality Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Preferred Qualifications Minimum of two years of security experience preferred One year of dispatch experience preferred Previous experience monitoring surveillance systems or security cameras Experience using two-way radios and professional communication equipment Familiarity with incident reporting and documentation procedures Work Environment Residential apartment community setting Primarily indoor assignment with extensive CCTV monitoring responsibilities Occasional property observations and security checks as needed Independent work environment requiring sustained focus and awareness Regular interaction with dispatch, management, and property personnel Benefits Competitive hourly compensation Paid training and onboarding support Company-issued uniforms Professional and supportive work environment Opportunities for advancement within Citadel Security USA Ongoing operational support from management Equal Opportunity Employer Citadel Security USA is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
