Position Summary As a Security Officer, you will maintain a highly visible presence throughout the property while providing outstanding customer service and ensuring the safety and security of guests, tenants, and employees. Officers are expected to exercise sound judgment, remain calm during emergencies, and represent PSC with professionalism at all times. Primary Responsibilities Provide exceptional customer service and assistance to guests, tenants, and employees. Maintain a visible security presence to deter criminal activity and safety concerns. Conduct proactive foot patrols throughout the shopping center. Observe and report suspicious activity, hazards, and security concerns. Enforce company policies, client rules, and property regulations. Control access to restricted areas and verify authorized personnel. Assist with emergency response, evacuations, and incident management. Contact law enforcement, fire, or EMS when appropriate. Complete accurate and detailed incident, activity, and daily reports. Protect property by helping prevent theft, vandalism, and other criminal activity. Work closely with property management, retailers, vendors, and first responders. Notify supervisors of situations requiring additional guidance or resources. Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications Successful candidates will possess:

Ability to remain calm and professional during stressful situations. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Basic computer and report-writing skills. Experience operating two-way radios and mobile communication devices. Physical Requirements Candidates must be able to: Walk and stand for extended periods. Patrol both indoor and outdoor areas. Work in varying weather conditions. Respond quickly to emergencies. Lift, bend, climb stairs, and perform routine patrol activities. Minimum Requirements Must be at least 18 years of age. High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred. Valid California Driver's License or State Identification Card. Ability to pass a background investigation and drug screening. Must remain free from illegal drug use. Professional, clean-cut appearance. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
