Job Description As a Security Officer Educational Patrol in Farmington, CT , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a dynamic college location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support students, staff, and visitors with outstanding customer service and communication. PM What You'll Do:
Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at an educational location. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while communicating with staff, students, and visitors. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout campus buildings, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and report unusual conditions. Monitor access points and visitor activity, provide directions and assistance, and document security-related concerns, incidents, and/or policy violations. Support campus operations by observing surroundings, reporting maintenance or hazard-related issues, and coordinating with site contacts and/or first responders when needed.
Minimum Requirements:
Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
