Mall Security Supervisor

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Supervisor to lead our security team in safeguarding our personnel, customers, facilities and assets. This role involves overseeing daily security operations, implementing safety protocols, and ensuring a secure environment for all customers and tenants. Applicants must have a valid CT Guard Card. Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate the activities of security personnel to ensure effective coverage across all areas of the facility. Oversee surveillance operations using CCTV systems to monitor premises, identify potential threats. Implement and enforce security policies, procedures, and protocols to maintain a safe environment for employees, visitors, and assets. Conduct regular foot patrols and inspections of the premises to detect suspicious activity or safety hazards. This post involves a significant amount of walking throughout the shift. Manage conflict situations with professionalism and tact, utilizing conflict management skills to de-escalate incidents. Respond promptly to emergencies, including medical or law enforcement requests. Maintain detailed incident reports, shift logs, and security records to ensure accurate documentation of daily activities and incidents. Training new security staff. Qualifications Must have a valid CT Guard Card. Certification in first aid and CPR is highly desirable; additional certifications such as CCTV operation or loss prevention are a plus. Excellent conflict management skills with the ability to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively. Strong leadership qualities with experience supervising a small team. Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with diverse groups including law enforcement agencies when necessary. Must be available to work weekends.

$19.00 per hour
