Security Officer (Unarmed)

Job Summary We are looking to expand our team with dedicated Security Officers to provide a strong, professional presence across multiple property types. Officers will be responsible for maintaining safety, enforcing property rules, and proactively identifying risks before they escalate.

Schedule:

Friday, Saturday, Sunday 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM This position offers the opporutnity for addiotnal shifts, inlcuding overnight assignmemnts, as they become available. Work Environments Apartment & Residential Communities Commercial Properties Special Events Responsibilities Communicate effectively with residents, staff, and management. Control access points by verifying credentials of employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors to maintain secure entry and exit procedures. Conduct regular patrols (On Foot) of the facility to deter theft, vandalism, or unauthorized access. Respond to alarms, disturbances, or emergencies by assessing situations and taking appropriate action. Collaborate with local emergency responders when necessary to ensure swift resolution of incidents or emergencies. Assist in conflict management by de-escalating tense situations with professionalism and tact. Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and security checks for reporting purposes. Requirements Valid driver's license (for patrol positions) • Current holder of Washington, DC Security Guard Card• Reliable means of transportation Knowledge of surveillance technology, such as CCTV systems and loss prevention techniques. Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure. Ability to stand/walk for extended periods of time. Excellent communication skills for clear reporting and interaction with team members and visitors. Preferred (Not Required) Proven experience in security, law enforcement, military service, or related fields is highly desirable.
