Security Officer

Your role is vital in deterring theft, ensuring compliance with safety protocols, and providing excellent service to visitors and staff alike. Duties Monitor security cameras (CCTV) and conduct regular surveillance rounds to detect suspicious activity or security breaches. Control access points by verifying identities of employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors, ensuring only authorized individuals enter the premises. Respond promptly to incidents or emergencies by applying conflict management techniques and coordinating with law enforcement or emergency services when necessary. Conduct security patrols throughout the facility to identify hazards, prevent loss prevention issues, and ensure safety protocols are followed. Perform first aid and CPR when needed, providing immediate assistance in medical emergencies until professional help arrives. Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and security checks for accountability and reporting purposes. Assist in loss prevention initiatives by identifying potential theft or vandalism risks and implementing preventative measures. Qualifications Proven experience in security roles or law enforcement is highly desirable. Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred; willingness to obtain these certifications is required if not already held. Knowledge of surveillance systems (CCTV) operation and monitoring techniques. Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure. Background in military or security services is advantageous but not mandatory. Excellent observational skills with attention to detail for conducting thorough inspections and patrols. Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with diverse groups of people.
