Coral Gables, FL Job Details $18 an hour 14 hours ago Qualifications Report writing Writing skills English Class D Security Security Full Job Description Security Alliance is currently seeking highly professional, dependable, and experienced Level II Security Officers for a temporary high-visibility security assignment at the University of Miami, Coral Gables Campus. This operation will begin on May 18, 2026, and is scheduled to continue through August 6, 2026. This assignment requires officers capable of operating in a professional campus environment while maintaining strict security protocols and clear communication with University of Miami Police Department (UMPD), authorized personnel, vendors, and staff. Officers must maintain a professional appearance, excellent situational awareness, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Positions Available Per Shift:

Three Access Control Officers Responsible for monitoring and documenting strict entry and exit of authorized personnel. One Internal Rover Officer Conducts patrols throughout all interior floors and responds to security concerns. One Exterior Rover / Lead Officer Conducts exterior patrols, escorts vendors, assists officers with breaks, and serves as lead support when needed. The detail requires 24/7 security coverage with five officers assigned per shift. Minimum Requirements Valid Florida Class "D" Security License Level II qualification preferred Previous security experience required Strong communication and report writing skills Must be fluent in English Ability to communicate clearly via radio with UMPD and supervisory staff Professional appearance and demeanor Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Flexible availability including weekends, overnights, and holidays Clean background check and drug screening required Preferred Qualifications Prior campus, law enforcement, military, or high-visibility, 2 years security experience Experience with access control operations Leadership or rover experience preferred for exterior rover positions Emergency Response Team (ERT) experience strongly preferred Additional Staffing Needs Security Alliance is also seeking five qualified ERT candidates to assist with operational coverage and minimize overtime demands throughout the assignment duration.
